At one point in time, Horseshoe had (to the best of my knowledge) the #1 best BJ table in the entire world. It's too small a river for the boats to cruise.īJ and Craps odds are better than anything you will find in LV today. The boats don't move except up and down with river level. Same size casino floor space as LV Strip Harrahs. All 5 boats have 3 decks (floors) and are in the 30K sqft range. The planned name is Margaritaville casino. It's the last license for the state of Louisiana and the plan is to build a 6th casino on the east side, due to open at the end of 2013. There is a 6th casino license that was just issued. A 2-mile walk will get you into each of the 5 casino floors. You can walk, drive, taxi, or shuttle between the 5 casinos. 2 boats on the west side of the river (Shreveport) and 3 on the east side (Bossier City). Shreveport/Bossier current has 5 riverboat casinos in downtown and a racetrack on the east side of town (very nice race track). A host gave me free room and invites to their NYE dinner and party. My last visit 1 week ago was over the New Years Eve weekend.
